Ogiso reimagines sovereign authority as a culture-tech field. Drawn from the title of the ancient rulers of the Benin Kingdom, the piece does not approach kingship as costume, nostalgia, or historical reenactment. Instead, it translates rulership into visual code, reducing the figure to its most essential signals: sight, breath, mark, and command. The result is a monumental presence that feels less like portraiture and more like an activated interface for origin, order, and encoded power.
